Staffing firm Hudson Highland Group Inc. in New York, with $1.4 billion in revenue, has named Michael Whitmer chief information officer for North America.

  • Rudi Machilek is the new CIO at Raleigh, N.C.-based BrightStar Communications Inc., which installs and services small business key systems, large network PBX systems and Voice over Internet Protocol networks.
  • Nashville, Tenn.-based HealthSpring Inc., with $856 million in revenue, has named Andy Flatt CIO. Flatt previously served as IT chief at AIM Healthcare Services Inc. in nearby Brentwood.
  • Marc Berthiaume is now vice president of operations and CIO at Granite State Management & Resources in Concord, N.H. He comes from ManagedOps.com Inc. in Bedford.
  • Phoenix-based Arizona Central Credit Union has named Adam Jones CIO. Jones will oversee the firm's IT, support services and document retention.
  • And in Philadelphia, $172-million Tasty Baking Co. named Brendan O'Malley CIO. Imagine the perks that go with that job.
